Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to our team of attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, submissions and correspondence.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for attorneys.
- Manage attorneys' schedules, appointments, and meetings.
- Handle client inquiries and maintain client files.
- Organize and maintain legal records, including matters files and correspondence.
- Prepare work errand arrangements and expense reports.
- Prepare attendance report for attorneys.
- Answer phones, screen calls, and take messages.
- Provide general administrative support to the legal team.
Qualifications
- Equivalent college degree.
- 4+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary or in a related administrative role (Preferably in Legal firms).
- Strong typing and transcription skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal word processing software.
- Experience with legal research databases.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Excellent Proficiency in English (Speaking and Writing) + French will be a plus.
- Giza resident are preferable.
